President Donald J. Trump gave a historic 2020 state of the union address on February 4, 2020. He promised to defend religious liberty and the Second Amendment, and called Congress to ban late term abortion. “We don’t tear down crosses,” President Trump said.

“Four more years” proud chants greeted President Trump before he started the 2020 State of the Union. A large applause was given when First Lady Melania Trump was introduced.

“My administration is also defending religious liberty and that includes the Constitutional right to pray in public schools,” President Trump said.

“In America we don’t punish prayer. We don’t tear down crosses. We don’t ban symbols of faith. We don’t muzzle preachers and pastors. In America we celebrate faith. We cherish religion. We lift our voices in prayer and we raise our sight to the glory of God,” President Trump said.

Standing up for freedom, President Trump said, “As long as I am president I will always protect your Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.”

President Trump called Congress to “ban late term abortion of babies”. “Every human life is a sacred gift from God.” President Trump signed paid family leave as a model for the rest of the country. He called Congress to pass the act to give paid family leave across the nation.

America’s enemies are on the run… The years of economic decay are over,” President Trump said. “The days of our country being used and even taken advantage of… are long behind us.

“Reaffirming covenant that the USA has Jesus as judge, lawgiver and king is bringing God’s blessings to the USA again,” said Rev. Steven Andrew. Andrew is leading the nation to reaffirm our Christian nation covenant to do God’s will. Covenant is healing our land.

“Our borders are secure,” President Trump said. “Our agenda is.. pro-American.”

President Trump pointed out that 7 million new jobs were created and how reversing Obama’s failed policies brought record economic growth. This is 5 million more jobs than the Obama administration thought was possible. Poor neighborhoods are being rebuilt and the economy has greatly improved.

The audience cheered for the record economic growth; however, the Democrats attending frowned about God blessing the economy. This is one reason why Democrats are seen as the anti-American and anti-Christian party.

Robin Schneider and her daughter, Ellie, were introduced as invited guests. Ellie was one of the youngest premature babies born at 21 weeks and six days. Today, Ellie is a healthy girl.

“We are rebuilding our country,” President Trump said. Showing care for Americans, President Trump said, “We must always remember our job is to put America first.”

“Socialism destroys nations,” President Trump said emphasizing how freedom restores the soul.

President Trump talked about the Space Force and protecting Americans from terrorists.

“We will never let socialism destroy our healthcare,” President Trump said.

“A long, tall and very powerful wall is being built,” he said. Over 500 miles are to be completed by early next year.

President Trump is planting new trees across America and rebuilding America’s infrastructure.

“God bless America,” President Trump said.

“As we put our faith in Jesus Christ personally and for the nation, we see God restore blessings,” Andrew said. “We see God use President Trump in many ways.”
